It’s Always Great to Learn Something New
Lifelong Learning Programs
Why are lifelong learning and senior education such distinctive features of The Village at Brookwood lifestyle? Because intellectual growth is key to maintaining one’s well-being and happiness. It’s a whole lot of fun, too!
Every week, you’ll have the chance to expand your mind through a wide array of multifaceted opportunities like stimulating book clubs and reading groups, trips to community cultural events, museums and music concerts held in Burlington, NC, and beyond.
Our residents also love attending the numerous guest speaking engagements at nearby Elon University. Such notable speakers in the past have included Colin Powell, Jane Goodman and Desmond Tutu.

Life@Elon, features weekly presentations, on a variety of different topics, conducted in an engaging format. There are 12 classes offered per semester (fall and spring) which are taught by current and retired Elon University faculty and staff members and other area educators, to persons 55 years and older.
All new residents at The Village at Brookwood are offered a full-year’s membership toward the Life@Elon program. Along with convenient parking for classes, Life@Elon members have borrowing privileges at Elon’s Belk Library and discount tickets to many events on campus.
