April Mayberry

Executive Director

April joined Well-Spring Management and Development in September 2019 in the role of Health Care Administrator for The Village at Brookwood. April holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Western Carolina University and has been serving older adults for over 20 years. Her journey in healthcare includes Recreation Therapy Director, Behavioral Health Director and Associate Administrator before becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 2011. She has served as a Nursing Home Administrator since 2015.

Ashley countiss

Director of Resident Services

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science from Elon University.  She is an active member in the Burlington/Alamance community.  Ashley began her employment with The Village at Brookwood Resident Services Team in 2021.

Cindy Kroksh

Director of Nursing

Cindy joined The Village at Brookwood team in 2017. She has worked in long-term care since 1981 and has held the position of director of nursing since 1985. Cindy is a graduate of Watts Hospital School of Nursing and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Mars Hill College.

Arthur J. Gardiner

Director of Dining Services

Arthur has studied under chefs around the Greater Greensboro, Burlington and Coastal Carolina regions. He interned at Well-Spring Retirement Community where he learned the important role dining services plays in a retirement community. Arthur learned to cook by watching his father make something out of nothing in his home kitchen. He finds that quality ingredients and simple preparation are the keys to great cuisine. Arthur holds the high honor of Eagle Scout. He joined The Village at Brookwood team in November 2015.

Cary Hinely

Director of Facilities Services

Part of Alamance Regional Medical Center’s plant operations since 1997, Cary joined the facility services leadership team when The Village at Brookwood was being built in 2003.

Betsy Huneycutt

Director of Sales & Marketing

Betsy joined The Village at Brookwood in 2016 after working as community relations coordinator for a nonprofit entity. She has worked in sales and marketing since 1995, primarily in the textile industry. Betsy has served and currently serves on various committees at Front Street United Methodist Church in Burlington and volunteers with the Booster Club at Williams High School. Betsy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications studies from UNC-Greensboro.

Pamela Bailey

Human Resources gENERALIST

Pamela joined The Village in 2022. She started her career in retail and then moved into the corporate world. She says that “I’ve held a few titles but Human Resources is the best.” She holds an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Alamance Community College and pursued additional studies at UNCG.

Lynette Hinely

BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER

Lynette joined The Village team in 2014 after working with the Alamance Regional Medical Center/Cone Patient Financial Services team.  She has more than 30 years of health care business office experience. She says that working with residents on their business office needs is the favorite part of her role at The Village.

Steve is a nationally recognized expert on caring for older adults. Having led Well-Spring since 2000, he is a past board chair of LeadingAge, a national organization that represents and advocates for more than 5,000 members and partners of not-for-profit entities throughout the entire field of aging services.
