Michael joined Well-Spring Management and Development in June 2017 and held the position of Health Care Administrator until May 2019, when he assumed his current role as Executive Director of The Village at Brookwood. Having grown up in the field of Long Term Care, Michael has had the opportunity to serve older adults as a leader since 2013. He is a fellow of the LeadingAge North Carolina Leadership Academy as of May 2019. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University and is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in the state of North Carolina.

April joined Well-Spring Management and Development in September 2019 in the role of Health Care Administrator for The Village at Brookwood. April holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from Western Carolina University and has been serving older adults for over 20 years. Her journey in healthcare includes Recreation Therapy Director, Behavioral Health Director and Associate Administrator before becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 2011. She has served as a Nursing Home Administrator since 2015.
Kristy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and has been serving older adults for over 10 years. She started her journey as a Certified Nursing Assistant and then became a licensed Recreational Therapist. Kristy has been with The Village at Brookwood since June of 2018.
Rene’ is responsible for nonhospital financial operations with total gross revenue of $275 million. In addition to her accounting responsibilities for Alamance Extended Care, Inc., she oversees the accounting for Cone Health’s outpatient centers, plus other foundations and entrepreneurial entities. Additionally, she oversees the accounting for all capital purchasing within Cone Health. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Elon University and Masters in Business Administration and Masters in Health Care Administration degrees from Pfeiffer University.
Cindy joined The Village at Brookwood team in 2017. She has worked in long-term care since 1981 and has held the position of director of nursing since 1985. Cindy is a graduate of Watts Hospital School of Nursing and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Mars Hill College.
Anthony joined The Village at Brookwood in 2016 after spending many years in the dining services industry working as a chef and other management positions at CCRCs, assisted living communities and a country club. Anthony earned his bachelor of business management degree from Memphis State University.
Arthur has studied under chefs around the Greater Greensboro, Burlington and Coastal Carolina regions. He interned at Well·Spring Retirement Community where he learned the important role dining services plays in a retirement community. Arthur learned to cook by watching his father make something out of nothing in his home kitchen. He finds that quality ingredients and simple preparation are the keys to great cuisine. Arthur holds the high honor of Eagle Scout. He joined The Village at Brookwood team in November 2015.
Bob has been the director of facilities services at The Village at Brookwood since 2013. He has worked in both a CCRC and acute care in managing plant operations and support services. Bob’s a certified health care facility manager by the American Hospital Association. He earned his associate degree in electronics plus his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
Chip has worked in management, marketing and sales roles in the retail and textile industries for over 20 years. He joined the marketing team at The Village at Brookwood in 2013 and accepted the marketing director position in July 2016. He has served as allocations committee chair for senior services with United Way of Alamance County and currently serves on the Alamance ElderCare Board of Directors. Chip holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Barton College (formerly Atlantic Christian College).
Betsy joined The Village at Brookwood in 2016 after working as community relations coordinator for a nonprofit entity. She has worked in sales and marketing since 1995, primarily in the textile industry. Betsy has served and currently serves on various committees at Front Street United Methodist Church, the executive committee of Parent/Teacher Associations, and the ABSS Facilities Task Force. Betsy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications studies from UNC-Greensboro.
Cindy has worked in accounting with Alamance Regional Medical Center since 1984 and has been with The Village at Brookwood since 2007. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Elon University.
